What makes a great teacher?!
We will explore this question in a small group setting. Each class is 2,5 hours long and divided into two parts. Starting with a 1h 45min theme-based asana class, that focuses on a particular group of yoga asanas that involve different parts of the body. Building upon what you learned, we continue focus on proper alignment, how to build from the foundation up through blueprint poses, and also how to enter safely into the more challenging poses.
Topics that we will discuss during this time are:
– Component parts and breakdown of poses
– Beginner, intermediate and advanced asanas
– Teaching individuals in a group setting
– Training your eye as a teacher
During the second part of class will touch the more internal aspects of yoga such as Pranayama, Dharana, Dhyana and philosophical texts as The Bhagavad Gita, Yoga Sutra and Upanishads.
